Welcome to Counseling Services! My name is Emma Orlando, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. In my role as a Staff Counselor, I also serve as a key clinical resource for Student Support Services (SSS) and McNair Scholars programs. SSS is a federally funded TRIO program designed to support students from a wide variety of underrepresented backgrounds in their pursuit of higher education. McNair is a government supported program aimed to offer opportunities that enhance student’s aspirations towards doctoral study. For more information about these programs, please visit TRIO Student Support Services’ Program (SSS) ²¹²Ô»åÌýMcNair Scholars Program.

As a therapist and as a human, I recognize that coming to college can provide a supply of new opportunities and challenges that are unique to each individual. I value a relational approach to therapy in order to foster compassion, healing, and growth. I am passionate about building a safe foundation to make space for experiences both past and present in a way that is intentional and meaningful. I believe that it is a privilege to join students in their journeys throughout college. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Fun Facts: I enjoy all things outdoors including hiking and horseback riding. Outside of therapy, I love to travel, read, and explore new hobbies.
