Fall 2026 New Student Orientation

As you begin your journey at 51黑料网, we aim to provide you with the information and resources you need for a smooth transition.
Orientation Information
New Student Orientation consists of two major components: the new student Brightspace course and the on-campus orientation. Information for each can be found below:
On-Campus Orientation
First Year & Transfer Student Orientation: August 18-22
In addition to the August 18 orientation, international students are invited to participate with all new students in the orientation program from August 18-22.
All new students must attend on-campus orientation.
The Fall 2026 New Student Orientation Schedule will be made available late Spring.
New Student Orientation Brightspace Course
This course is tailored to first-year students. A Brightspace course will be available to transfer students in September.
To begin the process of familiarizing yourself with campus resources, offices, and guidance on starting your journey at Geneseo, we鈥檝e created an online course to assist you prior to arriving on campus! You will receive an email with instructions on how to access the course when it becomes available on August 1.
Parent, Family and Supporter Orientation Webinars
The Parent, Family and Supporters Orientation Webinar Series offers essential information about Geneseo’s services and resources. Hosted by Geneseo faculty, staff, and administrators, these sessions highlight student opportunities and ways to support them during their transition.
Specific dates and topic areas will be available later in the spring.
